A great night on Newport beach with Heno S4C filming to highlight our fundraising appeal, which was featured at 7pm this evening.

Thank you so much to our fantastic young club members and volunteer coaches for your hard work training at our beach session tonight and to parents/ guardians for your support - you are what makes our club so special!!

Special thanks to Scarlet Robinson, Gwen Morgan & Dion Jones - we are super proud of you for representing NSLSC. Big thanks also to Fergus Davies, who trained with us for many years as a youngster and is now an RNLI lifeguard helping to keep our beaches safe for us all, Lynsey Ponsonby-Lewes, our Safeguarding Officer and Huw Roberts, one of our longstanding Trustees, who were interviewed for the programme.

Training night tonight!! It's vital to have NVBLQ qualified members in order to run our Thursday beach sessions. Ant and Libby are working hard to get another batch of juniors and parents qualified this summer. Thanks to all those participating in the NVBLQ training - we wouldn't be able to keep the club running without you!!!

Activities our members undertake at club sessions include; assessing sea conditions, communicating with beach signals and flags, first aid, swimming, paddling boards and doing board rescues. And of course having lots of fun. 😃😃
